Quanitity Ingredient
250g Butter
200g Dark Chocolate - good quality
360g Castor Sugar
65g Plain Flour - sifted
80g Cocoa Powder
1 teaspoon Baking Powder
4 Large Eggs Beaten

Chocolate Brownies

These brownies are delicious – cold or hot served with ice cream

  1. Pre heat fan oven to 170c
  2. Mix chocolate with butter in a glass bowl over a pan of simmering water – make sure the water line is just below the bottom of the glass bowl. When melted combine and set to one side to cool.
  3. Line a 25cm square ovenproof tin with parchment paper
  4. Mix flour, cocoa, sugar and baking powder – add a handful of walnuts, small cream eggs or marshmallows if preferred
  5. Gently combine the beaten eggs and the melted chocolate mixture until silky smooth
  6. Pour into the prepared tin and cook for 25 minutes
