Posted by Webmaster on Wednesday 28th December 2011
New Years Eve is just around the corner and if like us you are entertaining guests, either at home or work, it is important to create an evening with great food, drink and entertainment.
The evening’s menu is usually one of the trickiest aspects of holding a New Year’s Eve event, as it has to impress and satisfy, whilst being cost effective and simple to make.
Why not try the following specials to make your New Year’s Eve go off with a bang:
On Arrival
Champagne and canapés
To Start
Avocado and Parma ham rolls
or
Red wine, garlic and chicken liver pate
Main Course
Beef Wellington served on a ring of buttered crushed new potatoes, with a medley of seasonal vegetables, a whole basil roasted tomato and a rich red wine sauce.
or
Chicken stuffed with garlic, cumin and gruyere and wrapped in Parma Ham. Serve this with dauphinoise potatoes, fresh vegetables and a creamy Noilly Prat sauce.
Dessert
Chocolate and mint mousse
Lemon posset with homemade shortbread
or
A trio of individual desserts such as a mini strawberry cheesecake, chocolate mousse and tiramisu.
To finish
Coffee and homemade shortbread or chocolates
A glass of Champagne at Midnight
Lets hope 2012 is a good one- let's make it a success for Hospitality!!
